Application process for Incoming Students - Erasmus / Europe

The MOVEON application form will be available from 1 to 31 OCTOBER for 2017-2018 admission (second semester only).


  STEP 1: MOVEON APPLICATION FORM
After your home university has officially contacted the International Relations Office of the University Paris Nanterre to nominate you as an exchange student, please do the following:
  • Fill in and print the MOVEON APPLICATION FORM (from 1 to 31 October) and sign the last page.
  • Add an ID photo to the first page of the application form (a photo is mandatory for the student ID card).
  • Have the last page of the MOVEON application form signed by the professor in charge of the coordination of exchange programmes in your university.
 

 
STEP 2: MANDATORY DOCUMENTS

The following documents must be attached to your MOVEON application:
  • The Learning Agreement, which has been signed, dated and stamped by your university (see the Course Catalog).
  • Language Certificate - TCF (no more than 2 years old), DELF (no time limit), etc. translated into English or French. Alternatively, you may provide an official letter by a French language instructor attesting to your language level in French. The minimum accepted level is B1.
  • A photocopy of both sides of your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
  • A photocopy of both sides of your ID card or passport.
  • Students who have French nationality – please provide a census certificate and a JDC certificate (journée défense et citoyenneté). Contact your local Embassy, if necessary.

Please send the completed application (Moveon form + the mandatory documents) by post only
to the International Relations Office of the University Paris Nanterre at the address below (the application deadlines for the 2017-2018 academic year are as follows: 30 April for the first semester and 31 October for the second semester, date of the post office stamp will be considered proof).

  STEP 3: CONFIRMATION OF ADMISSION
  • Students admitted for the first semester will receive confirmation of their admission by email in early July. Students needing a visa will receive a letter of admission by post.
  • Students admitted for the second semester will receive confirmation of their admission by email in early December. Students needing a visa will receive a letter of admission by post.

  IMPORTANT INFORMATION
  • Students needing a visa should directly contact Ms. Nanka Stoyanov at nstoyanova@u-paris10.fr
  • Students who are not European Union citizens, and who are under the age of 28, are required to register with the French student medical insurance scheme (Student Social Security) and pay the sum of €217 (2017-2018 rate).
  • You can ask for accommodation in one of the residences managed by the CROUS of Versailles.You can not choose the place of the residence.
  • You must apply when you complete your Moveon form, the first step of your application to the University of Paris Nanterre. You do not have to contact directly the CROUS of Versailles.
    Attention: the number of rooms is limited, so we can not guarantee that you will get a room in a university residence.

    You will receive a reply concerning your request for accommodation by e-mail from the CROUS or Mrs STOYANOV:
    • in July for students arriving in the first semester,
    • in December for students arriving in the second semester.

  • Students who wish to take free French-language courses can choose up to 3 courses, 3 ECTS each, for one semester only (see the FETE brochure).

  APPLICATION DEADLINES:
- From 1 to 30 April for first semester or full academic year admission, date of the post office stamp will be considered proof.
- From 1 to 31 October for second semester admission, date of the post office stamp will be considered proof.
